A Childhood Recipe
My fiancé requested this dish recently. It’s something he had as a kid and always remembered fondly. I love cooking for him and showing him I care so I was happy to try it out. I’d never had Sloppy Joes before, and WOW, they’re good! I’ve been missing out!
This is such a fast and easy recipe, we eat it almost every week now. We love to pair it with homemade buns (recipe coming soon) and some crispy oven fries. It tastes like a $20 pub meal, but it’s homemade, cheaper, and healthier.
Can You Make Sloppy Joes Ahead of Time?
Of course! Just whip up the Sloppy Joes as per the recipe, allow it to cool, and then keep it in a sealed container in the fridge for up to three days. When you’re ready, warm it up well on the stovetop or in the microwave, before serving on fresh hamburger buns.
