How To Make Instant Pot Apple Sauce
How to make fresh, sweet, and delightfully smooth Instant Pot Apple Sauce with a touch of cinnamon! Ideal for snacking, desserts, toppings and baking. You’ll be amazed at how easy and fast this recipe is!

Easy Instant Pot Apple Sauce
I was really amazed at how simple this apple sauce is to make this. I’ll never buy it from the store again! Just cut up some apples, put them in the instant pot along with spices, water, sugar and lemon juice. Set it to cook on high for 5 minutes, and go about your life. After 40 minutes, when the apples are done and the instant pot has cooled down, use a hand blender to quickly make it into a smooth sauce. It doesn’t get much easier than that!
Homemade Apple Sauce Is Simply Better
By making it yourself, you can be sure your applesauce is all-natural, without any weird stuff in it. Plus, it’s super fresh, so it tastes much better. Free free to adjust this recipe to your liking as well. Want it chunky, with apple bits? Keep the skin on and blend it a little less (or just use a potato masher). Prefer it without sugar and spices? Just skip them. Craving extra sweetness? Add more sweet stuff! The possibilities are endless, so have fun with it.

Instant Pot Apple Sauce Ingredients
All you need to make easy homemade apple sauce is a few simple ingredients:
- 3 pounds apples, cored and peeled (about 6 apples)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie or apple pie spice
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or brown sugar
How To Make Instant Pot Apple Sauce
- Peel and cut the apples into large chunks. Discard the core and seeds. Add apples to Instant Pot along with all other ingredients.
- Close the lid and seal the valve. Pressure cook on high for 5 minutes. The pot will take about 15 minutes to come to pressure. After the 5 minutes of cook time, let the pressure release naturally (this takes about 20 minutes).
- Mash the apples or use an immersion blender to purée.
- Enjoy applesauce hot or let cool. Sauce will thicken as it cools. Store refrigerated for 1-2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.

How To Store Homemade Apple Sauce
To store homemade apple sauce, you have two easy options:
- Freezing: For long-term storage, freeze the apple sauce in airtight containers or freezer-safe bags. It can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.
- Refrigeration: If you plan to consume it within a shorter timeframe, store the apple sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator, where it will remain fresh for up to 2 weeks.
